Sleep > supplements
I’ve spent more money than I’d like to admit on things in tubs and bottles promising an edge. None of them outperformed simply going to bed on time. Under six hours of sleep, my top sets feel like someone swapped the plates for heavier ones overnight — same numbers, noticeably harder.
The uncomfortable truth is that sleep doesn’t get marketed because nobody’s selling it. There’s no sponsorship deal for “go to bed earlier,” so it never trends, and the supplement industry is very happy to let you believe the gap is a chemistry problem instead of a schedule problem.
If you can only fix one thing this month and you’re deciding between a new pre-workout and an extra hour of sleep, take the hour. It’s not close.
