The grocery list that never fails

Chicken thighs, eggs, Greek yogurt, oats, rice, frozen mixed veg, bananas, canned tuna, olive oil, and whatever vegetable was cheapest that week. Ten items, same trolley, every single week for years now. I stopped treating grocery shopping as a creative act, because creativity is exactly where “I’ll figure out dinner later” goes to become a takeaway order.

The boring list means I always have the raw material for a decent meal in under fifteen minutes, which matters more on a Tuesday after a long day than any recipe I’ve ever bookmarked and never made. Decision fatigue is real, and this list is how I opt out of it for the one part of the day that otherwise derails the whole plan.
